For the landing screen, I wanted to replicate the CineMark entrance near Penn’s campus as I have a ton of great memories of my friends and I at this specific theater

This specific theater only shows some of the best [in my opinion] horror movies. I also wanted an aspect of cohesion throughout the experience which led me to have the bright red present in each screen.

I had the most fun with this screen. I drew each of my favorite snacks in Illustrator. Including the hyper-specific, but best ginger ale, Ale 8. I also hate when people take more than one snack when a sign clearly says “please only choose one”, so if you too become greedy, the previous snack you chose goes back on the shelf.

Overall, this project is my favorite I’ve coded using HTML and CSS. It is the most detailed and I was able to explore a lot of different code solutions when I ran into issues. And of course it was fun to have a project as an ode to my many CineMark adventures.

Here are a few other projects I have worked on using HTML and CSS.

Assemblage sculpture

In this project, I was tasked with building an assemblage sculpture from found items then create a ‘CSS Still Life’. This project also asked me to employ a CSS animation.

gone fishing

Through this project I was able to create a self-contained, single-page site that employs CSS selectors to assist and encourage user interaction. I was also asked to explore metadata/alt text and account for carrying viewport sizes to serve comparable or alternate user experiences.

Visual Code Studio, Adobe Illustrator

COat check

In this project I explored the application of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) through the use of IFTTT. I always forget to wear a jacket, so I wanted to create an applet that notified you through a widget as to when you should wear a coat. I then coded a website to advertise and promote my applet through storytelling.
